transportation. Vessels range in size from 8,000 to 55,000 metric
tons deadweight, and carry the most variable types of bulk
cargoes such as wheat, corn, and other grain products, fertilizers,
coal, cement, sugar, minerals and steel products.

year 2000 and ceased operations in 2010. During Meridian's operating
years the fleet was on average 16 ships. Meridian earned a good and
trustworthy name in the market.
